The VOS area of the Stratus anonymous FTP server is maintained by Paul Green. I'm a Senior Technical Consultant in the VOS Products Group at Stratus Computer, in Maynard, Massachusetts, USA. I've been working on VOS since 1980. I am the author of Motorola 68000 assembler, the VOS binder, the VOS command processor, the VOS command macro processor, the VOS abbreviation processor, and Logical Disks. I also implemented the first version of analyze_system. I led the project to add National Language Support (Latin Alphabet #1, Japanese, Korean, etc.) to VOS. I implemented V105 terminal support for VOS. I'm the architect of VOS POSIX support, and I wrote about half of the initial support for POSIX on VOS (all the easy stuff...). I implemented RADIUS support. I have ported many open-source products to VOS, including Perl 5, MQ Series 5.2, Samba 3.0, Net SNMP, GNU GMP, gSOAP, and OpenSSL/SSH 1.0 and 2.0. I have been a software engineer, a first and second-level manager, and, since 1989, a software consultant. I enjoy meeting and working with our customers and helping them to solve problems. I occasionally travel to customer sites and meet our customers in person. I have many great memories of such visits. I am a graduate of MIT, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. (I went through MIT long before they offered a degree in Computer Science..., but my that was my focus. I don't do hardware).
